1. How much does Grok Bot cost?
Grok Bot does not have a standalone price you pay separately. According to xAI's official announcement, it is bundled into eight SuperGrok and Cursor plans rather than sold as its own product, so the real cost is whichever of those plans you already hold or choose to upgrade to.
Across those eight plans, prices run from $20 a month for Cursor Pro up to $300 a month for SuperGrok Heavy, with Cursor's team seats billed per user. Each plan comes with its own weekly Grok Bot usage allowance on top of the plan's normal Grok or Cursor usage, and xAI has not published the exact size of that allowance in tokens or hours on any tier.
2. Which plans include Grok Bot?
As of early September 2026, Grok Bot is included with SuperGrok ($30 a month), SuperGrok Plus ($100 a month), SuperGrok Heavy ($300 a month), Cursor Pro ($20 a month), Cursor Pro+ ($60 a month), Cursor Ultra ($200 a month), Cursor Teams Standard (around $40 a seat) and Cursor Teams Premium (around $120 a seat), per xAI's own pricing page and Cursor's official pricing page.
That is a wider list than it was at launch. xAI launched Grok Bot in beta on 11 August 2026 restricted to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra and Cursor Teams Premium, then expanded access on 21 August to add SuperGrok Plus, Cursor Pro+ and Cursor Teams Standard. Days later, xAI published a further update, titled Grok Bot is now included with more plans, extending access to the base SuperGrok and Cursor Pro tiers as well, which is why the entry point has dropped to $20 a month.
Grok Bot has no price tag of its own: it rides on the SuperGrok or Cursor plan you already pay for, from $20 a month to $300.
3. How to get Grok Bot
Subscribe to any one of the eight eligible plans above, then download the Grok Bot app for your device and sign in with the same SuperGrok or Cursor account. There is no separate signup, password or extra checkout step once your plan is active.

4. Is Grok Bot free?
No, Grok Bot is not free to use on an ongoing basis. You need one of the eight paid SuperGrok or Cursor plans listed above, and there is no way to buy Grok Bot on its own without also holding one of those subscriptions.
If you want to try it before paying, xAI has offered a limited-usage free trial to people who are not yet on an eligible plan. Trial terms for AI products change often, so check the exact conditions, including whether a card is required, at grok.com or cursor.com before you sign up.
5. What is the Grok Bot free trial?
The free trial gives you a capped amount of Grok Bot usage to test before committing to a paid plan, rather than unlimited access. Because it is a usage credit rather than a fixed number of days, a single large or long-running task can use up most of it in one go.
Used trial credit is not restored once it runs out, so it is worth starting with a small, low-risk task, the same advice xAI gives for a first task on any paid plan. Confirm the current trial length and any card requirement directly on the signup page, since those details can change as the product moves out of beta.
6. How does Grok Bot usage work?
Grok Bot usage is tracked separately from your normal Grok chat usage or your normal Cursor coding usage, so handing a job to a Bot does not eat into the quota you use for everyday chat or code completion. That allowance resets weekly rather than monthly, which is a different rhythm from most of SuperGrok's other limits.
Because the allowance is weekly, a single demanding task early in the week can leave you short for the rest of it, with the meter resetting at the start of the next week. If you expect to run several Bots or long tasks regularly, budget for that weekly reset rather than assuming a monthly one.
7. Which Grok Bot plan should you pick?
If you mainly want to try Grok Bot on a handful of small tasks, the cheapest paid entry points, Cursor Pro at $20 a month or SuperGrok at $30 a month, are enough to get started. Move up to SuperGrok Plus, Cursor Pro+ or one of the Heavy or Ultra tiers only once you find yourself regularly running out of weekly Grok Bot usage.
Teams weighing Cursor Teams Standard against Cursor Teams Premium should look at how many Bots and how much usage each seat actually needs, since the difference between the two seat prices is significant. As with any plan on this list, verify the live price at checkout, since it can move as Grok Bot leaves beta.
